ONE DAY TRIP IN BEAUTY NAKHON SI THAMMARAT

Day Eleven: One Day Trip

Today is a very pleasant and unforgettable day for us sea-teacher participants at NSTRU. Because we were on Saturday today, full from morning from 8am   to night around 7pm exploring the beauty and informative of Nakhon Si Thammarat. The first trip to the Kiriwang, which is a beautiful and clean river, we also take a picture on the Kiriwang Bridge. fortunately, we meet local people using their traditional dress, they want to attend an event in their temple.

Then to the house of batik DIY craft on kiriwang, I am amazed not only Indonesia has batik but Thailand too. And motives that exist in Thai batik are natural motifs such as the leaf of the plant that grow around Nakhon Si Thammarat and also the colors used are also natural. because of that price for each piece of batik is quite expensive,  it is also because the batik was hand made. Continue to the next destination, which name is the mangosteen shop. The place is so cool and beautiful. because near the Kiriwong river. I really enjoyed when feeding the fish, there was a lot of big fish live there. Next, We had our lunch near the falls. The food is yellow rice and chicken. It is really calm and relaxing. The view is really nice and it is good to take a photo especially in the hanging bridge. After a long ride we went to the Museum, it is the museum that we, my Filipino friends and I went last Saturday. but it becomes different when Sir Frank, one of coordinator for sea-teacher gave us the detail information for each thing in the museum.

If Indonesia has wayang kulit, wayang golek Nakhon Si Thammarat also has, because the next destination after the museum was watching Shadow Puppet. The owner was also the 'dalang' for our puppet show was really kind, even though he couldn't speak English but one of our buddies, Daniel was ready to become our translator. And really the performance of the shadow puppet was really interested and full of fun.

We then went to the temple, Wat Phra Mahathat Vihan. Sir Frank gave us a lot of information about the temple. I really do respect their belief since it is sacred for the Buddhist. For our last stop, the night market! that also we have already gone there last Saturday. Today was a really memorable trip, I experience a lot of things and the tiredness was all worth it. I am really thanks full for my buddies friends, On, Chap and Lamok who want to accompany me to looking for mosque behind the temple. Why I knew that a mosque near the temple because when I'm inside the temple, I heard " Assalamualikum" very clear and I think it was a mosque. Thanks for one beautiful day all!!!
